Meet the Maker Behind Platform One: Adolfo Lopez

Hi, I’m Adolfo—a Dallas native and lifelong technologist at heart with a passion for cybersecurity, cloud-native technologies, and AI.

My journey began in the demanding environment of the U.S. Navy, where I served aboard the USS Wyoming (SSBN-742), a ballistic missile submarine. As a Nuclear Trained Electronics Technician, I was part of a team responsible for the complex systems that are the lifeblood of a sub. Operating hundreds of feet beneath the surface taught me unforgettable lessons about precision under pressure and absolute trust in your team—principles that have been the bedrock of my civilian career and my approach to building robust, secure systems.

After the Navy, I transitioned into data center operations—but something was missing. I wanted to architect and build, not just maintain servers. That pursuit led me back to school for a deeper focus on cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and cloud computing.

Then came AI. What started as a curiosity with machine learning became a full reboot of my skill set. I dove into containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code. This path not only led to my consultancy, Alpha Deploy, but it also gave me the technical skills to bring a bigger idea to life.

My sister Ana and I saw a common need: so many talented people, from small business owners to tech enthusiasts, lacked a single, supportive platform to amplify their voice. We decided to combine our skills—I built the technical foundation while she focused on the community—and together, we launched Platform One to be the stage for a diverse community of creators to share their expertise.

As one of the co-founders here, this is where I'll be sharing what I’m learning and building. More importantly, this blog is a platform for the stories and insights of all the people who inspire us. I'm glad you're here.
